Journal Of Chinese Linguistics has been committed to promoting academic research in general linguistics and Chinese linguistics. As an academic journal mainly in English, it provides an important platform for linguistic scholars around the world to present and exchange research results. JCL's articles not only cover the linguistic subdisciplines of the Chinese language, but also delve into various fields of general linguistics.

The journal publishes articles of various types, including but not limited to phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics.
