The Pacific Rim International Journal of Nursing Research aims to address the challenges in the global nursing field and provide research-based insights to improve educational outcomes for all. It welcomes various original articles related to nursing research, including but not limited to literature reviews, policy or concept analyses, and other evidence-based academic papers that contribute to nursing knowledge, population health improvement, and professional development.

The articles it publishes reflect the uniqueness of various socio-cultural and spiritual backgrounds of research participants, researchers, and health institutions, with a particular focus on relevant content from the Pacific Rim region, such as religious beliefs, values and attitudes, Eastern wisdom, and the role played by cultural practices related to health, treatment, and care. The important research areas covered by this journal include health promotion and disease prevention, management of acute and critical illnesses, improving the quality of life for chronic and end-of-life patients, and innovation in nursing practices.
