The journal pays special attention to the development models, policy innovations and practical experiences of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and other emerging economies in the context of globalization.

The journal encourages scholars to use multidisciplinary research perspectives, including economics, political science, sociology, geography, and environmental science, to analyze the complexity of regional development. It supports the publication of quantitative and qualitative research methods, such as case studies, model analysis, comparative studies, etc. to reveal the effectiveness and limitations of development strategies in different regions.
