Medical Acupuncture provides a professional platform for global medical professionals, researchers and scholars to share the latest research results and clinical practice in acupuncture and related fields. Special emphasis is placed on the scientific and empirical nature of acupuncture treatment, and the submission of studies using rigorous scientific methods, whether randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews or case reports, is encouraged. By publishing these studies, the journal aims to raise the status of acupuncture in mainstream medicine and promote the modernization and internationalization of acupuncture therapy.

The journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to the clinical use of acupuncture, integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment, clinical efficacy evaluation, chronic pain management, electroacupuncture therapy, battlefield acupuncture (a quick and easy ear acupuncture technique, Rapid pain relief in the military), traditional Chinese medicine theory, integrative medicine methods, mechanisms of acupuncture treatment, pain relief techniques, application of visual analog scale (VAS) in pain assessment, application of neuroimaging in the study of acupuncture effects, acupuncture treatment of PCOS, and the importance of physical examination in the diagnosis and treatment process.
