Historisk Tidsskrift

Historisk Tidsskrift is an academic journal published by the Swedish Historical Society. Since its founding in 1881, it has been a leading research journal in history and economic history in Sweden. It is one of the largest academic journals in the humanities in Sweden, publishing academic articles, debates, and reviews, as well as book reviews and critical evaluations of new works. All manuscripts that have passed the preliminary editorial review are evaluated by at least two external reviewers, one of whom typically comes from a non Swedish academic institution. In addition to original research, Historisk Tidskrift also publishes critical articles, book reviews, debates, and notifications. An annual special issue is also published, usually consisting of six to nine research articles on specific topics of current interest.
